Study area

The study area can be seen below. Basically, it is bounded by Lake Ontario to the north, Lake Erie to the south, the Niagara River to the east. The western edge will be determined by the availability of soils coverage.

The crosses indicate climate stations. Green indicates stations which have a record which allows the number of growing degree days (GDD) to be calculated, while red indicates an incomplete record.
